What can you do if your website is boring &/or boastful?

Ask yourself… what does my target audience want to know about, learn about, or explore? Be relevant! Write about what you know and research what you don’t. Be credible and accountable because you may need to respond to questions from your readers. And of course, relate your content to your business or industry.  Be sure your website is about your business or industry. Don’t publish stories about shoes if you sell ball bearings.

I like to work with the 4-step infomercial formula:

  1. Identify a problem. (Create an emotional response of fear or pain)
  2. Demonstrate why its a problem. (Why this causes you emotional distress)
  3. Propose a solution to the problem. (An escape route)
  4. Offer a product or service that removes the problem from your life. (So you can be happy)

And lastly, check your spelling, and don’t trust your computer to spell the wrong word corrrrrectly.
